My Darling Clementine – “Country Darkness, Christmas Light” A very special My Darling Clementine pre-Christmas concert
The new album sees them collaborating with the piano genius Steve Nieve, Costello’s long time right-hand man, as they reinterpret songs from the Costello back catalogue, in particular his more country and country soul flavoured songs.
For this special seasonal show in December Lou and Michael feature a number of the Costello songs, many favourites from MDC’s 9 year back catalogue, as well as some of their favourite seasonal country, folk and blues songs from the pen of such writers as Willie Nelson, Robbie Robertson, Joni Mitchell, Alan Hull, and many more.
