FIND JOY

November 27, 2026

find-joy, an alternative indie band from North County Dublin, released ‘Departed’ from their sophomore EP this month. Produced by guitarist Mark Allidine and recorded across home studios, the track features Oscar Kelly’s driving bass groove and synth melodies, building to a wide chorus with a catchy hook from singers Tadhg Kelly and Colleen Conlon.

While distinct from prior single ‘Peptides’, it retains the band’s signature sound. Tadhg calls it a song about infatuation – “as relatable as it is bittersweet.” Mastering came from Tom Woodhead (Status Quo, English Teacher, Gerry Cinnamon) at West Yorkshire’s Hippocratic Studio. Known for energetic live shows, find-joy have played Whelan’s Ones to Watch, Golden Plec, TiLT #13 at the Button Factory, and headlined sold-out gigs at The Workman’s Cellar and Upstairs at Whelan’s. They’ve also performed in Cork with Maicín and supported Tebi Rex and Post-Party.

The band began when Tadhg and Mark made tracks during Mark’s music production studies. Their collaboration ‘White Lies’ with Colleen sparked an instant connection, leading to the trio forming. They’ve since expanded to a five-piece with Oscar Kelly (bass) and Fergal Mullen (drums).
