
Josh Curtis’ Life Support
Josh Curtis is a London based composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, specialising in electronic music.
His work combines songs and spoken narratives. Obliquely telling stories of the understated beauty of mundane and everyday life.
His live performance pulls threads from his studio work, combining with acoustic musicians to bring a new deconstructed, and semi improvised interpretation.
His band consists of:
Harry Mercer, an improvising guitarist, currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is involved in multiple projects on the emerging experimental music scene in London as both a sideman and bandleader, having performed at venues such as Barbican and Avalon Cafe.
Gabriel Francis-Dehqani, a London based cellist studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 as a soloist and with his piano trio, Trio Casella. He has won numerous awards from Countess of Munster, Help Musicians and Stephen Bell. He has performed at the London Jazz Festival and plays regularly with the Komuna Collective, funded my Arts Council England.
Lyle Burton, a drummer who is prevalent in the underground London music scene, having performed with artists such as Famous, Platonica Erotica and Ethan P Flynn.
Isaac Burland, an electric and double bassist currently living in London. Following the success of their 2021 tour of East Rudlington, Isaac has been increasingly involved in the improvised music and alternative electro-noise scenes, and will be releasing their debut album at the end of 2023.
They will be joined by special guests The Horse and Tom Davison.
